This looks excellent! I've watched just a few minutes and the production quality and atmosphere is top-notch. I haven't seen an Inodnesian film yet. This will be my first!

Thank you Tomie! I'll tell you what I think about it after it finishes buffering up and I can watch it (I've got torrents running, it may be a bit).

..Okay, that was the second Indonesian film I've seen (I forgot about Terowonga)...

First of all, there's a little Greek/Roman mythology going on in the film. Eros is the god of lust and love (aka cupid). Janus is a lesser known god. He's the god of doors and new beginnings. Both character fit their names.

Then there's another cultural influence going on that I know very little about. Kala is either the god of the underworld, or god of time (depending where you look). However, I certainly see how it can translate as "dead time", especially when you're talking about narcolepsy. There are other names in the film which seem to correlate to their characters fate or personality. Bandi (I think...I'm probably wrong) is a kind of sacrifice (trinkets or gold) or ceremony to appease the gods. Sari is a draped garment, and I suspect that Ranti is a form of king or queen (rani). I'm probably wrong about that, too!

This is a movie where you need a little cultural background to really understand the undercurrents...I wish I had that background! LOL! Even without knowing, it's still a great watch. It has that stylish-noir feeling from an old detective classic with a few other-worldly scares thrown in. There's some references to generalized cinema and art, such as Highlander and Da Vinci. All in all, it was a real pleasure to watch.

Veoh is totally buggy. It's best to open it up in Veoh player and let it buffer until the end of the movie. That happens to me (and everyone else) all the time!

History + Mysticism = Skepticism ~~ How many times have we heard ancient stories and don't believe them? Then there's the history buff who researches the past and insincerely believes it's possible.

It's amazing how the modern day characters ironically emulate the 'mystical' characters: the guy with narcolepsy / sleeper; the cop / protector. When he was reading ... I wonder if the guy who believed the history really understood the role of the people around him.

The narcoleptic's wife.... her major reason for divorce was a lie. Look what she achieved because of her greed for money. She should have been doing that every night when they were married. Wink Laughing

After realizing the story is true ... wild horses couldn't drag me to that site. Greed is a terrible thing ....

Good movie.

Oops ....
Correction: This should be "SINCERELY believes it's possible."

... gimmy a day or 2, bloodymonarch! .. i'll see what I can do, or if I can upload someplace else .. I'm uploading it to Ichiroll evn now,(but the 4th time .. use a different codec though ..done see why they wont' process it otherwise)

.... At the same time, have you tried downloading the movie file to your computer and watching it from there? This is usually what I must do...

Perhaps trying again later and I'll keep trying too Smile

Continued efforts!! ...I think this is a film a lot of ppl on here would enjoy seeing ^. ~...

When I uploaded The House (2007) to Crunchy it kept kicking it out. Codec maybe bad? (Plus I saw on a mod page that the encoders are a bit messed up). I ran it through Magic Video Converter and reconverted it as an avi (avi to avi) and it went up fine (although the quality was Razz by the 3rd encode). Strangely, sometimes my subtitles drop off for a few minutes on the Crunchy uploads. They're still on the original files, though. Weird.

I managed to watch this one all the way through on Veoh. However, there's lot of movies I've ended up downloading because the player just "quit". VEOH!!! The player used to work great but now it does this almost every other video for me. You can't report it on the help page because they're notorious about pulling down any video that doesn't work correctly as a copyright violation. Jerks.

What works for me is if I get one that stops, I let it buffer all the way to the end. Then I pull the progress bar past the "stall". Otherwise, I just download it. It's very frustrating.

I think this film is worth another upload! You should keep trying!~

Ya know, I'm starting to notice a pattern: cr accepts torrents but not my rips ..I have both, but the torrent file had ".sub" extenstion. So, in an attempt to convert w\ SUBtoSSA but as always seems the case, the software in question has a problem reading the file. D:<

Why so-called 'SUB2SSA' iIf you can not 'read' .SUB 'file ????!!!!! grrrr!

So anyway I'm trying to UL them separately at present...

I'll try out Magic Video Converter if that doesn't work out..

Gah !!..theres so many different forms of AvI ..I'm only now realizing I've been rpping to the disadvantage of a lower-quality version of it Embarassed (audio-vidio interleaved ...when I should be using DiVx) (???) any views on this? .... Quality improvement tho ,to realize it only now .. So humiliating !!

...This, all along! Embarassed

...I blew it :Cool

..

Very Happy because i got to watch the whole movie. Twisted Evil wicked sick kill scenes. the plot reminds me of that movie called the 9th gate with jonny depp. the sleeper in this movie was hot in a weird sort of way, and so was the cop. i really liked the end of this movie, because it had gore ,blood, sword fight, and pale scary people. the scene with the car crash into that one girl and then a bus, made that scene in devils reject look like kids play. love these types of movies because they are wicked sweet., with lots of bloody sick kill scenes. thats for posting such great movies. Twisted Evil Wink
